Doctoral Symposium on Artificial Intelligence - SDIA 2013

Image The Doctoral Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (SDIA 2013), in its third edition, is a satellite event of EPIA 2013 – Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence, to be held in Angra do Heroísmo, Açores, between the 9th and the 13th of September, 2013. This event is addressed to all Ph.D. students whose developments are related to some relevant topics to the scientific field of Artificial Intelligence

The best papers of SDIA will be included in the main proceedings of EPIA 2013 Springer LNAI series (EPIA 2011 LNAI papers were indexed at ISI, Scopus, DBLP and ACM portal). The remaining accepted papers will be included in the symposium proceedings, an edition of APPIA, with ISBN.

All papers should be submitted in PDF format through EPIA’2013 submission Website (select "Simposio Doutoral em Inteligência Artificial" track):

The Doctoral Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (SDIA 2013), in its third edition, is a satellite event of EPIA 2013 – Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence, to be held in Angra do Heroísmo, Açores, between the 9th and the 13th of September, 2013.
SDIA 2013 aims at being a forum for discussion on post graduated studies, thesis on Artificial Intelligence, increasing the integration and the cooperation between researchers from this scientific area and promoting a better visibility of their ongoing work to the academic and industrial communities.

Objectives

With the organisation of this event, the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence – APPIA intends to stimulate the improvement of the quality of post graduated studies, Ph.D. thesis in the scientific area of Artificial Intelligence.

This event is addressed to all Ph.D. students whose developments are related to some relevant topics to the scientific field of Artificial Intelligence.

Submission
----------

The participation in this event implies the submission, presentation and discussion of a scientific paper that should present substantial results in theoretical, empirical or applied research, in any Artificial Intelligence field.
The paper may be written in English and should be formatted according to the Springer rules for the LNCS editions (Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science – http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html), never exceeding 12 pages.
The document must include the following information: title, author and supervisor(s), abstract, keywords, beginning date and foreseen conclusion date. All papers submitted will be reviewed by some well-known specialists and all submissions will receive a report of the revisions.
